As we wrap up 2024, it’s safe to say this year was filled with some seriously magical moments and a few unforgettable sessions at Tuckey Joes.
We’re talking about sessions that’ll go down in history—beautiful waves, perfect weather, no crowds and good vibes all around!
But let’s be real, this year kept us guessing. We saw some wild weather patterns that brought in swells during months we usually think of as chill time. November and early December?
Who would’ve thought we’d be catching epic waves then?! It was a pleasant surprise that had everyone stoked, making the most of those unexpected sessions with nobody around.
On the flip side, August, which is usually our go-to month for solid surf, was a bit of a letdown. It was quieter than we expected, leaving many of us itching for some action. But hey, that’s surfing for you—always full of surprises!
Fortunately we have a brand new state of the art surf transfer boat at Kandooma, which allows us to explore surrounding atolls with ease when the local breaks aren’t working.
Despite the ups and downs, the standout sessions we had throughout the season made it all worthwhile. From the thrill of those surprise November swells to the camaraderie shared in the lineup, this year was a reminder of why we love being out there.
As we say goodbye to 2024, let’s carry those awesome memories with us and look forward to whatever the ocean has in store for next season. Here’s to more waves, more friends, and more unforgettable moments at Kandooma and the surrounding breaks!
