Most surfers have dreamed of surfing epic, uncrowded Indo barrels ever since the release of Albe Falzon’s infamous classic, “Morning Of The Earth” in 1972 featuring Rusty Miller, Stephen Cooney and co surfing perfect, empty Uluwatu. The Morning Of The Earth pioneers scored epic Bukit barrells in the 70’s, then Thornton and Joe Engel scored empty Nias in the 80’s as featured in Hoole/Mcoy’s Stormriders, triggering more dreams and opening up more Indonesian surf destinations to frothing surf travellers.
