Heaven on the Planet is in beautiful Ekas Bay, south-east Lombok, on 17 hectares above the golden sand cliffs and beaches. It is an eco-friendly resort that utilises the natural ocean breezes rather than air-conditioning. Inside Ekas is best known as a left and right hand peak which breaks in medium and large swells. Outside Ekas, a solid left break, is best on high tide in large swells when a very long, heavy wave peels over 400-500 m down the reef and barrels in sections.

Waves were great and had a few locations for different level of surfers and surf coach always chatting to give up dates on swell and best location for the following day.
Selection of surfboards for beginners to experienced if you didn’t take one was good.
Massages were a great addition.
Had a yoga teacher there which was amazing and worth the $15 per class.
Tours on offer varied each day and were amazing.

Planet on Heaven in Lombok certainly is something special and we knew from the moment we walked in that we would leave a piece of our hearts there.
We surfed the beautifully serene reef break every day (at least twice a day) and were totally blown away by how easy it was to ride even on the big days!
There is something about the spot that is totally magical and one of the most friendly breaks I’ve ever been on. From the first day we were being encouraged while surfing, laughing and sharing meals with the other guests from Planet – we’ve left with some incredible friends and unforgettable memories.

The Resort

Surf, Kite, SUP, Foil
If you want surf, foil, kite or SUP in a beautiful, remote location, both safe and difficult waves, on a range of different breaks, then Heaven on the Planet is ideal. With everything in one unspoiled location, Heaven on the Planet is the perfect place for surfers, SUP, kite surfers and divers. Using an outrigger surf boat, motor bikes or a car, you can easily get to Inside and Outside Ekas, the nearby Southern Reefs, or the many other breaks in Lombok and West Sumbawa.

A cliff-top restaurant serving tasty food with amazing views. Sustainability
Heaven on the Planet is an eco-friendly resort. The owners are independently engaged in environmental projects worldwide. The nearby forests are being nurtured by HOTP's gardeners who have planted over 15,000 trees, and they’re grown from seed in Heaven's nursery. With financial help from the Wildlife Conservation Society and Planet, the resort built 22 small reefs in Ekas Bay to help the fish with habitat. Working with government and the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), the reef outside of the resort has been zoned for protection.
Night Surfing
Same as surfing in the day, without the sunburn, and any outsiders. The lights are only for Planet guests. You’ll love it when you get addicted.
HOTP will be putting on more staff, adding beer to the boat and boosting the experience. Surf sessions focus on mid-tide for the lefts, and other times can be arranged.
The boat service is same as daytime, except it waits for you while you surf. And they have personal waterproof torches on an arm band for each guest. They’re high-powered aids to add to the fun.
