Kandooma Resort Maldives

I have just returned from an amazing trip to Kandooma and wanted to share our fantastic experience of dealing with Chris Beardsmore and the Perfect Wave team.

This is the first trip we have booked through Perfect Wave and I have to say the service we received from start to finish was fantastic. We initially contacted Chris and he managed our enquiry in exemplary fashion, advising on location options. He handled the booking in a super efficient manner. He was incredibly helpful and extremely informative about the various set ups, accommodation and the waves. We subsequently had to make several changes and nothing was too much trouble. Chris is a tremendous asset to Perfect Wave and we have now booked 2 more trips through him, to Maverick and Aloita. We will definitely continue to consult and use him wherever possible. Chris was brilliant and sorted out everything for us, even the most minor details like securing one of the best rooms over looking the main break.

The team in Kandooma also helped to make it a very memorable trip. Garrick was an absolute legend. Super helpful and humble in the water and incredibly knowledgeable about the location and the Marine life. I am really looking forward to surfing with him again.

Having Kandooma rights, right out front is exceptional and being exclusive to guest it was never crowded. Having the boat trips to other surf spots inclusive in the cost was also great.

The food was excellent, the service was the same. The Perfect Wave crew on the boat were very friendly and professional. Having one of the boat crew go out in the line up to help you get the best waves was awesome, making the surfing experience top notch.

The Accomadation we had was positioned right at the surf. Waking up and seeing the surf every day was awesome ??

the worry was always that it was early season for the Maldives so wave consistency was always an issue but that was made clear early on!?

The guides on the island were great, the setup was equally as good.

I usually surf all over Indonesia, but this was our first time in the Maldives with my family.

Every day, Stevo and Jinoo from Perfect Wave guided us to the best spot at the perfect time, tailored to the waves of the day. Their teamwork was fantastic. The drone footage was also full of beauty that can only be captured in the Maldives. I will definitely come back to Kandooma.

Our family had an unforgettable experience at Kandooma Resort. The island itself is breathtaking — pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a beautifully run resort — but what truly set it apart was the warmth and professionalism of the people.

During our stay, my son unexpectedly needed medical attention. We were incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Aiman on site. Not only was he thorough and knowledgeable with his medical care, but he also went above and beyond in rapidly organising my son’s transfer to hospital. He personally coordinated everything and made sure we felt supported at every step. I can’t thank him enough!!

Also a special mention to our chaperone, Zailam, who accompanied us throughout the process. He was attentive, kind, and ensured that everything ran smoothly — from communication to making sure we were comfortable and informed. His calm presence made what could have been a stressful situation so much easier.

My wife and I both enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Kandooma and the waves there. Even though the size wasnft peak season, we were both stoked because it was perfect for our longboarding level. The best part is being able to walk just a few steps from the room to reach the point. It is truly a dreamland for surfers. We will return to Kandooma very soon. Been 3 times , hard to beat, staff on the resort are excellent, plenty of surf options, plenty of activity for non surfer partners with very little crowds

Spending 4 days at Hudhuranfushi and 5 days at Kandooma was a great balance for first-timers to truly experience the best of Maldives. Adaaran offered a more authentic island and local feel, while Kandooma delivered a more refined, family-friendly resort atmosphere. Together, they gave us the ideal mix of relaxation, great waves, and stunning natural beauty.

I was unsure about going in September due to it being the rainy season but Gina was right about the waves and that if it rained it was for short durations

The swell hit right on the dates I was there so I got to have awesome surf sessions. I arrived and left at perfect timing.

The trip was so well organised Sylv was incredibly responsive and exceeded our expectations with her communication and answering questions and queries. She gave great advice for our overnight stays in Singapore also and was incredibly great at checking in and ensuring we had access to all the information. The resort was beautiful the surf was pumping my 16 year old son had the time of his life with the guides and the staff on the island were incredible.
