Napalms
Due to its consistency, Napalms is one of the more popular waves on the Island. It offers a more generous take off and barrel section then its older and outside brother, One Palm Point. A nice spot to put in some practise before taking on the more iconic heavier waves on the island. Napalms needs to be at least three foot to start working, otherwise it basically breaks on dry reef.
Pick up and drop off from Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta Airport (CGK).

6 months validity on your passport (Indonesian Customs Department requirement).
No mandatory vaccinations are required for this area of Indonesia, however we strongly recommend you consult your doctor for suitable medications, prescriptions and provisions appropriate for you. Standard travel vaccinations are always recommended. If your doctor recommends malaria medications please take note of any side effects of the medication they recommend as some are not suitable for the tropics especially those that make your eyes and skin hypersensitive to the sun.
We recommend you pack the following:
Boards: size and shape is entirely personal. However, a good recommendation is to pack your regular/standard short board, as well as a step-up for the bigger days. If you can stretch your quiver to 3 boards, then a step down/fish style board is a popular choice, or if you are going to chase the bigger, barrelling days, another step-up or spare short board may be a good idea!
Surf Accessories: just the usual eg good leg ropes, fins, tropical wax, ding repair kit, booties, rash vest/surf t-shirt, Gath helmet and wetsuit if you intend on surfing One Palm (mandatory for anybody surfing One Palm).
Clothing: boardies and t-shirts should do it! With maybe with a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.

The Charter
Just Dreaming started surf charters to Panaitan Island back in 1991. Ask around and see how many other charter boats have been operating continuously, for that long. That record says it all, and is one of the most important things to consider when choosing any surf charter. She is an Australian built, steel hulled motor yacht with an unblemished safety record. The boat takes up to 8 surfers and has a very experienced crew with lots of local knowledge. Skipper Manto has unsurpassed knowledge of the West Java region.
Surfing
The waves in West Java are some of the best in the world and Panaitan island would have to be one of the LEAST crowded areas for surf in Indonesia. The best months to surf are March through to October with early season favoring the rights and June on-wards for the lefts.
Activities
As well as the great surf out on the ocean, you can also explore the amazing natural jungle on land, which is part of the Ujung Kulon National Park, or climb the famous Krakatoa, a live volcano! Panaitan is home to an isolated population of wild deer, tigers, panthers, snakes and numerous other forms of rare and endangered wildlife.
