We caught up with Captain Moose ahead of the 2024 surf season.
By the time of our interview, Crystal Clear had already completed their first 2024 trip in February.
Perfect Wave: How is the 2024 early season so far?
Capt. Moose: Waves have been small and fun, in the chest to head high range but also with the odd bigger days with overhead/double overhead waves.
Where have you and your guests been surfing?
Mainly on the swell magnets like Burgerworld and Thunders.
How have the crowds been in the water?
No crowds – just good vibes in the water.
How’s your vibe & season 2024 shaping up in terms of the weather patterns and early swells? Are you feeling like it’s going to be a good year?
Fingers crossed the Southern Indian Ocean comes alive this year.
So far weather has been great, with light viable winds (normal for this time of year) and amazing sunsets.
