In a time when intenret do-it-yourself travel has become the norm, it seems crazy to undertake the risks, when you can get a well organised, great value package seamlessly delivered by a co-ordinated team of professionals at both ends. All we had to do was surf, surf, surf & surf………;……. and there was plenty of surf too!
I went on the HAIRA in the Maldives with my dad and my brother and some friends.
I am 12 years old. Our Surf guide was Lars and we had the most fun in the world. I want my dad to take me again.

Everything ran smoothly from flights, meet and greet at the airport to transfers and surfing time on the Haira and Cokes Surf Camp. Enjoyed the array of Maldivian/Sri Lankan food on the boat and not to mention the lashings of it.
Once again awesome trip.
We had nothing under 3 foot and surfed everyday. We worked out we spent 55 hrs in the water over 9 days. Great boat and crew, and thanks again for all your help. Will send you some photos soon and will book again in 2014.

surf 2 to 5 foot 2 – bigger days @ Cokes Camp. It was great! good food, got to mingle with locals.. Rhonda as usual had organized everything no hassles. We had cleanup day with local surfers who are concerned about what tourism/surfers are doing to the place we picked up 30 bags of bottles and rubbish in two hours. A lot comes of boats. Respect any beach as if it is your own. Also the local surfers are so mellow but it won’t last if us visitors don’t respect them as locals. Their surfing is improving rapidly. Had a barbacue night after cleanup / drums as entertainment dancing, great vibes… The Perfect Wave surf guide invited us to share his 21st birthday cake with his family and friends. A great honour!

The trip was one I will remember forever from the wild weather on the crossing south and the waves at Ying Yangs and The farm to the send off the crew gave us as we were motoring away heading to the airport on the way home.You were spot on, Brian James is a cracker of a host as he handled everything that came up with a calm and polite manner that had all our respect.The boat and food was fantastic. The crew, well you couldn’t ask for a better bunch and the captain was just all class.Thanks again and will be in touch shortly to organise for the next one.

Extra Costs
• Domestic airfares required from Male to Outer Atolls. Allow US$400 each way for airfare and board bag (max 7 foot, 20kg). Note Surfboards as checked luggage are restricted to one boardbag per surfer, Max 20kg and 7 foot (2m) in length. If you are planning on taking more than 1 board in separate board bags you could try taping all the board bags together so they present as just 1 piece of luggage.
Note there is also a new “Oversize penalty” of US$100 if your boardbag exceeds these dimensions but can still be carried by the airline. But oversize boardbags are at risk of not fitting on the aircraft and could be left behind.
• Photography service. US$50 for 10 photos of your choice. US$100 for full suite of photos. Camera used is a Canon 70D SLR and photos will be taken from land, boat or tender.
• Alcohol is available for purchase on board. If you have any special requests, please let us know well in advance and we will do our best to organize your favourite brand. For reference 1 beer usually costs US$4 per can.
• Snacks: There are a range of snacks available such as Mars Bars and Twix bars on board to purchase.

Internet Access
For convenient internet access in the Maldives, we recommend getting a local SIM card from one of the reputable providers. Upon arrival, you can easily purchase a SIM card at the airport once you have cleared customs. Our staff will be more than happy to assist you in this process.
Additionally, if you prefer to stay connected while on a boat, WiFi is available onboard for a nominal charge.

There is a restaurant, bar & lounge – with a state-of-the-art entertainment system including large flat screen TV, DVD player, and connection for your iPod/iPhone. On the next level there is a funky disco bar with dance floor & open terrace/sunset deck. The seven roomy and individually air conditioned guest cabins are all equipped with adjoining ensuite bathrooms. Choose from 7 cabins: 4 with 1 double & 1 single bed, 2 with twin single beds, 1 master cabin with a double bed. All cabins have separate personally controlled air conditioning units and portholes if you prefer the natural ocean breezes.
