Alaïa Bay
GalleryTucked away in the heart of the Swiss Alps, Alaïa Bay is the first wave pool of its kind in continental Europe and probably the most spectacular spot for a surf session, whatever your level. Launched in 2015 by Adam Bonvin, Alaïa was born following a surf trip to Hossegor in France. His dream: recreate that surfing and action sports atmosphere in Switzerland and share the values associated with it.
The name “Alaïa” is inspired by the first surfboards used by Hawaiians. Surfing is at the root of several board sports, including skateboarding and snowboarding, so it seemed natural to use this name to create spaces dedicated to action sports. This crazy project came into being in March 2016 after money was raised through crowdfunding.
TWIN FIN RESTAURANT
Located on the second floor of the facility, the Twin Fin has a surface of 300m2 and a terrace of 400m2 and gives the possibility to watch surfers in full action. Open 7/7 all year with free access, the food makes you travel from one continent to another while giving pride of place to Swiss products.
BOARDRIDERS SHOP
A world-class surf shop in the heart of the Alps. Alaïa Bay features a Boardriders Store with products from Quiksilver, ROXY and more along with a deep range of boards and hardware from the best surf manufacturers on the planet.
SURF SCHOOL
Want to improve your turns or just try out surfing for the first time? The coaches will be happy to teach you the techniques you need to progress and get the most out of your sessions.
