“Being on a boat allowed us to cover a huge stretch of coastline, making a clockwise loop around the island. We often traveled at night, during windy periods, and when the tide wasn’t ideal. We’d refuel, catch a quick snooze while on the move, and wake up to the sound of the anchor dropping at a new spot.”
