The warm water, variety of waves and array of affordable accommodation has seen surfing at the forefront of tourism in Ecuador. It’s long coastline captures both north and south swells providing year round consistency to the sandy beach barrels, pointbreaks and reefs. The town of Atacames is the hub of Ecuadorian surfing, but elsewhere the Manabi province in the Central region and Guayas province in the south also offer great waves and less crowds.
