Justin (August 2011)

Being an Australian surfer seeking a comfortable, reliable and knowledgeable service in the Mentawais and on a budget. We were seeking a cheap and most importantly a twin hull catamaran for a more comfortable ride. It initially seemed a little bit of a risk choosing a Non-Australian run vessel… it turned out to be the best surfing experience of my life!! I’d previously heard the Mentawais was crowded yet the skipper was onto every spot without the crowds everyday. Not only did the waves pump for 2 weeks, we had waves to ourselves and the crew were amazing! 90% of them spoke great English including the skipper which was great for us. I honestly have not eaten better food in a two week period in my life, the Indonesian chef dishes up a healthy variety of Indonesian, European, seafood and Mexican… the most important thing after 8 hours of surfing a day!
