Restaurants & Bars:
Quattro Italian Restaurant
Executive Chef, Quattro at Whistler: Jeremie Trottier
When Quattro at Whistler opened in 1996, Fourth Avenue regulars were delighted that "their restaurant" had opened in Whistler too. Since then the appeal has broadened and Quattro at Whistler has won over critics, visitors and residents alike with its invitingly warm service, contemporary Italian cuisine and an extensive wine list, recognized by Wine Spectator as one of the world's best.
The interior at Quattro at Whistler is whimsically Venetian. Two cozy fireplaces, an open kitchen and hand-painted silk chandeliers cast a warm glow over the restaurant. Rich mahogany wood, an eclectic mix of tables and a vibrantly designed floor complete the passionate look of Quattro at Whistler.

Whistler Winter Activities:
Whistler is known worldwide for producing some of the best ski and snowboarding conditions and terrain. On top of experiencing the famous, Whistler also provides many other wintertime activities. Whether you are looking for adrenaline-pumping adventure, a relaxing afternoon in peace, or some quality family time, there is an overabundance of activities to experience in Whistler and its surrounding areas.
Downhill Skiing & Snowboarding
Between the two mountains’ three glaciers, 16 alpine bowls, multiple parks, and over 8,100 acres of terrain, Whistler/Blackcomb is the ultimate skiing and snowboarding destination for both beginners and experts. The resort was home to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, and continuously leads in rankings and polls as the best mountain resort. Most recently, Whistler/Blackcomb was named “Number One Ski Resort in North America” by readers of Ski Magazine.
Cross-Country Skiing
During the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, Whistler played host to a multitude of cross-country skiing events. This course in the Whistler Olympic Park, as well as additional courses in Lost Lake Park and Callaghan Country, feature over 130km of groomed, maintained tracks.
Each course has its unique appeal, but all are graced with some of the deepest snowfall anywhere in Canada.
If you can walk, you can snowshoe. Head out on a self-guided tour, or take a guided nature tour that will take you to some incredible areas through Lost Lake Park and the Callaghan Valley. Snowshoeing is suitable for every ability level and age, so an excellent choice as a family activity. You can also rent snowshoes by the hour or day in a number of stores in Whistler Village, and explore the trails around Whistler on your own.
Bungee Jumping
It’s the ultimate extreme activity; feel the adrenaline pump as you jump from Whistler Bungee’s 160 ft. bridge over the Cheakamus River. Located a quick 15 minute drive south of Whistler (alternatively, take one of their many pickup buses from Whistler Village), the scenery alone should be enough to convince you to try it out. But it’s the exhilaration we’re after; choose one of the five options to jump: chest, ankle, tandem, wheel chair, and we’ll see you on the other side.
ZipTrek & TreeTrek
Ziplining (ZipTrek) is one of the most popular activities you can do in Whistler year-round. It’s an easy but thrilling activity that combines the joy of flying with the security of a harness. It truly is the the ride of your life! Zipline tours are suitable for the whole family and all ability levels. Come and experience the beautiful Whistler backcountry whilst flying though the forest!
TreeTrek is combines the greatness of education and hiking. Discover secrets of the ancient rain forest from your bird's eye view in the treetops of magnificent cedars, hemlocks and firs that are the setting for your guided, interpretive TreeTrek Canopy Walk adventure. Visit the ZipTrek website for more information.
There are a number of guided snowmobile tours available for different ages and ability levels. This is a wonderful way to explore the Whistler backcountry in true Canadian style, where professional tour guides will take you through backcountry areas along hidden snow-covered trails, and into beautiful winter landscapes. Choose from early morning fresh tracks tours or daytime and evening dinner excursions complete with a gourmet meal served in a private, backcountry yurt. Tours are designed for beginner to experienced riders.
Sleigh Rides
There are few things more fun and romantic than to enjoy a relaxing horse-drawn sleigh ride whilst admiring the amazing views around Green Lake, Blackcomb Mountain or the Fairmont Chateau Whistler golf course. Tours are available with dinner including the popular sleigh ride and fondue dinner tour. If you are looking to spend some quality time with your loved one, then you can also book a romantic sleigh ride for only two, as well.
