There are no beach breaks in Moorea, but plenty of world class reef breaks dotted along the north and west coasts of the island. Mostly uncrowded waves however a boat transfer or a long paddle is required to all breaks. Worth the effort. Haápiti; large exposed reef passage providing long barelling lefts with good exposure to south /south west swell. Atiha - A 20 minute paddle or short boat trip. Provides both left and right hand waves just to the south of Haápiti. A long fun wave with plenty of sections. Cooks Bay - A very long fast left and right. Get out early in the morning to beat the prevailing winds.Works best with North/North West swell.
