Accommodation
Dar Etoile:The smallest of the Rebali riads is the perfect destination for a honeymoon couple who want private space or a family with 1 or 2 children. The centrepiece is the triple height dining area with a glass remote control sliding roof. Off the dining area is a small kitchen and a semi-enclosed sitting room with a fireplace. There is a downstairs cloakroom and also a separate cinema room with a fireplace - this room can be converted into a second bedroom with full-sized double or twin beds. There are steep arched stairs (may not be suitable for very young children) going to a mezzanine master bedroom and bathroom with marble bath, twin showers and basins. Outside is a private garden and dining area and a gate leading to the pool area. External stairs lead to the first floor terrace and on up to the private roof terrace with great views.

Dar Jeseli:Jeseli overlooks the main pool and has two ensuite bedrooms. The villa is designed around a triple height dining courtyard with a remote control glass sliding roof. There is a fully equipped open plan kitchen and sitting room with fireplace and TV. A stairway leads up to a galleried landing with two bedrooms. The master suite has a private terrace and ensuite bathroom with marble bath, double shower and double basins. The second bedroom opens onto a terrace and has an ensuite shower room with double basins. Outside there is a private garden with sun loungers and dining table and then stairs leading to the first floor terrace and on up to the private roof terrace with amazing 360 degree panoramic views.

Dar Mevada: A three bedroom riad with beautiful private pool and large enclosed garden - the perfect family holiday villa. You enter into the arched central dining area with glass remote control sliding roof. Off the dining room is a bar area leading to a fully equipped kitchen and a large sitting room with fireplace and TV. A stairway leads up to a galleried landing with 3 bedrooms. The master suite has a four-poster bed, a private terrace with ocean views and ensuite bathroom with marble bath, shower and double basins. The other bedrooms share a bathroom with marble bath and large walk-in shower.  Outside there is a private garden and terracing - a centrepiece arched swimming pool with curved seating area. Heating is available for the pool. The garden has sun loungers and an outside dining table and then stairs leading to the first floor terrace and on up to the private roof terrace with panoramic views.

Riad Sila:You can stay in one of the three suites in Riad Sila or take the whole house for up to 8 people. The riad is designed around a 14m (45 feet) open plan sitting and dining room under a triple height void with a remote-control glass sliding roof at one end. On the ground floor is also a 'cinema snug' with fireplace and TV that can be converted into a 4th bedroom with access to the downstairs shower room. Outside there is a south facing garden with a 9m (30 feet) long pool. As well as the pool there are planted and terraced areas (with sun loungers) and then stairs leading to the first floor terrace and on up to the roof terrace with great views and seating areas. There are three en-suite bedrooms with marble baths, twin basins and walk-in showers off the galleried landing. All the bedrooms have private terraces and the master suite has a four-poster bed and open plan bath giving views over the gardens and mountains.

Riad Valmar: The largest of the Rebali Riads, it is built around three inter-connecting courtyards and has four suites as well as a cinema room which can be made into an extra bedroom if the riad is booked exclusively. You enter into the galleried triple height dining area separated from the kitchen at one end by a 360 degree fireplace. The dining area has a remote control glass sliding roof. From the dining room an arched passage (with cloak/shower room) leads into the open courtyard with fruit trees, bistro tables and an ornamental fountain. On the other side of this courtyard is the main sitting room with TV and fireplace and also the cinema snug which can be converted into a double or twin bedroom. The courtyard also has large double doors that lead to covered loggia that run runs the length of the dining room and opens on to the pool courtyard.

The swimming pool (7m x 5m - 23ft x 16ft) is enclosed on three sides to act as a sun trap with an outside dining and sun bathing terrace alongside one edge. The private gardens can be accessed from the pool courtyard or the sitting room and have another sunbathing terrace with loungers and a gate to the hammam and communal gardens. Also from the pool terrace are stairs leading to the first floor terrace and on up to the roof terrace with great views and seating areas. The 4 suites are on the first floor and all have private terrace access and en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers and double basins. There are two master suites with four-poster beds, marble-topped baths and double showers. Two of the suites can be connected to make a family apartment with private access and large terrace.
Surf & Other Activities

There's a beach break all along the beach and a couple of quality reef breaks within walking distance of Rebali.  There there's the famous Cap Sim point break 10 minutes away by 4x4 - this is one of Morocco's best waves and you can check the waves peeling down the point from the roof terrace of Rebali.

The surfing program is very relaxed.   Beginners can take lessons with a local instructor, lessons include boards and wetsuits.  You can also rent equipment.  Lessons and equipment also available for wind and kitesurfing

There are 4 main breaks close to Rebali.

  1. Beach break 200 metres away – average quality depending on state of banks. High tide best but closes out over 1.5m
  2. Reef break 400 metres away – tricky entry/exit over rocks – reef boots a good idea. Low tide best. Can take size but peak shifts
  3. Rivermouth/reef A-frame around 20 mins walk down the beach.  The catches everything going and the most reliable spot although wind-exposed in the summer (windy season). Dry-hair paddle out over sand.  Holds 2m+
  4. The famous Cap Sim Point  break barrelling right of 100m plus needs 1.5m + swell to get going and is about 2 miles away so ideally 4x4 access to get close. Entry off rocks but not difficult.

Other info: No crowds year round!  Spring/Summer wetsuit all year round (water around 18-20)

Rebali was created with the idea of combining the privacy and space of a villa or apartment with the services of a boutique hotel. It was born from the concept that on holiday you want as much space as your private home but without having to lift a finger if you don't want to. Dining is a key part of this service and breakfast is served to all guests and other meals can be prepared by the chef.

The white dome of the hammam is the predominant design feature in the grounds and there is a good choice of traditional Moroccan and European treatments...and all just a few steps from your villa or room.

Build up an appetite with a game of tennis or volleyball in the gardens or make use of one of the pools. For the evenings there are a variety of entertainment from curling up with a film or some arduous star-gazing on the roof terrace.
There is no question that the beach is the main attraction at Rebali. Whether for the stunning views, amazing waves, to explore on foot or hoofor just soaking up the sun it acts as a magnet for all visitors. You can also take a quadbike tour over the dunes and along the beach or rent a mountain bike for the day exploring by yourself.

But there is much more to the area then the sands.  The town of Essaouira is just a few kilometres away and is considered the prettiest in Morocco. Also in the area are the famous oil producing Argan trees, often with goats grazing in the branches (yes, IN the branches), and there is a vineyard for sampling wines and having lunch.

For the more holistic ask about the Rebali yoga courses they hold a number of weeks a year.

The village is also a peaceful place to explore and there are still farmers following the traditional patterns of life, and animals everywhere: goats and donkeys, tortoises and camels and wait until you see the stars at night...

Rebali Riads were fantastic. Outstanding food and service - authentic and massive meals delivered to the dining room table of our 3 storey villa.

Ali (October 2013)

Accommodation was excellent.  The service from everyone was exceptional from the ladies serving breakfast to the gentleman cleaning the pool

Charlotte (October 2013)

Rebali Riad was simply fantastic. Wish we could have stayed longer! So hospitable, personal service and great location. The food was also fab and great relaxed atmosphere to eating where and when you want. The upgrade to the big villa was very special – although we didn’t need the vast space! Magnificent furnishings and star gazing whilst eating supper from the dining room was incredible. Highly recommend and will return!

Kerrie (November 2013)
