Like any self-respecting surf camp, they offer yoga classes, but that’s just the beginning! If a few people are interested in taking salsa classes, learning a few Spanish phrases or making traditional Ecuadorian cuisine, they’ll arrange for a local expert to come to the house at no extra cost. If most of the group is interested in making ceviche and you’d rather learn some new dance moves, it’s no problem, but your 1:1 salsa class may carry a small additional charge. Nearby Las Tunas is a small fishing village that is dotted with bamboo cabanas that serve the most beautiful seafood and the beach is uncrowded and relaxed. You can explore further in on horseback or bike to find a land of jungle. The Machalilla National Park is just 15 minutes in the north and is the home of the famous Isla de la Plata. This is the home of many Galapagos species and is the best place to humpbacked whales. The Los Frailes beach is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Ecuador and Agua Blanca is an ancient civilization site.
