Playgrounds is the most famous beginner break and for the intermediate to advanced are Shipwrecks and Lacerations. The main breaks are easily accessible by a quick paddle or for the ones slightly further out, by quick boat ride.
Nusa Lembongan is surrounded by crystal clear water, numerous water activities and famous surfing. There’s things to do for all ages with many restaurants, warungs, spas and sightseeing to take part in. It’s only a quick trip from Bali and you’ll be on the island in no time at all.
Playgrounds Wave Lodge is a small intimate property, with a cosy casual living room reception and an intimate pool at the edge of the boardwalk. Best views on the island and all whilst you take a dip.
An addition to Playgrounds Wave Lodge is Thai Pantry, located on the waterfront. The only dedicated Thai restaurant in Nusa Lembongan and featuring a kombi car bar. As you pull up to the beach in Lembongan, you can see the kombi from the water.
With 6 rooms, the Playgrounds Wave Lodge features Twin, Double and Superior options with lower or upper level floors. There are sea views & Mt Agung views from every room with the premier views being from the upper level.
On the upper level are private balconies with glass railings to make the most out of your views. The Superior Room on the upper level features a spacious 23sqm balcony making it the spot to chillax, absorb the views or practice your daily yoga or pilates. This room also caters for families or groups where you will find a queen + bunk bed.

May to September
All of the main surf breaks are visible from Playgrounds Wave Lodge and easily accessible. There’s no need to travel to another location as the breaks are on your doorstep.
Shipwrecks – One of the most famous rights, not for beginners and depending on tide, decent tubes. Best at medium tide with a 4 to 6 foot swell.
Lacerations – Only for advanced surfers, this wave breaks on a reef and is not for first-timers. A hollow right-hander that can produce some of the best waves at medium tide with swell of 3 to 8 ft. From your accommodation, it can be accessible by a quick boat ride out.
Playgrounds – Perfect for beginners. A right and a left, so it's easy to learn on, even for the least experienced. Good for surfing, longboarders or stand up paddle. Best with medium swell (3 to 6 ft) and medium or high tide.
Diving quality around the island is amazing in the crystal clear water. Numerous companies offer courses and trips to various locations and sites. The neighbouring island of Nusa Penida also offers interesting opportunities for diving. Year round you can see mantra rays, turtles, and, from July to October it is the season for the spectacular mola mola (sunfish).
Explore around the islands of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. You can sunbake and swim on Dream Beach, Tamarind beach, Mushroom Beach. Head to the Mangrove Forest, Devils Tear then cross the Yellow Bridge to Nusa Ceningan, and Blue Lagoon, Mahana Point.
