Mamzelsurfcamp welcomes you to The French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, the island of dreams for all girls who want to start or improve surfing in 68°F temperature water. The all-girl camp offers a complete trip with surfing, yoga classes adapted for surfer, river and rain forest expeditions.
For beginners or advanced surfers over 18 years old.
Come surf in Guadeloupe, the island that boasts the most of surf spots in the 'Little Caribbean'. Guadeloupe or the "Butterfly island" as it is known, is actually two very different islands in terms of landscape.
Grande Terre is made of coral and is the oldest
geologically, and the place where you'll find the nicest beaches with
white sand and turquoise water. It's relatively flat compared to the
other side: volcanic Basse Terre, which shelters the most beautiful
rainforest of the small Caribbean islands: bathe in rivers and walk in
the forest are 2 of the best things to do on the flat days.
longboard Champ and shortboarder, will guide you during your trip to
spots suitable for your level of surfing. She has been passionate about
surfing since her childhood. She started at 12 years old in French
Brittany and after oceanology studies, she decided to travel around
Central America and Asia for more than 10 years, switching between her
activity of Padi scuba instructor and her surf trips. It's during this
time that she learned yoga, she took classes with master yogis in
Thailand, Bali and Nepal. She decided to stay in Guadeloupe 10 years
Surf & Other Activities
Guadeloupe is a paradise island for surfers.
Both of the islands offer a incomparable variety of surf spots, perfect to learn or to improve your surfing. The south, east, north and sometimes west coasts offer good surfing conditions depending on the swell and wind direction. Most of the spots are reef, but the spots and the waves are generally not difficult to access. There are many easy spots for beginners and more powerful waves for good surfers. The spot is chosen according to your level. Because of the reef, thin neoprene boots are recommended for beginners.
We are located in Saint François, which is a small fishing village and port in the south east of the Grande Terre, very close to the majority of Guadeloupe's best surf spots.
Yoga classes adapted to surfers and rain forest excursions are part of Mamzelsurfcamp, depending on what you wish to do.
