Surf & Other Activities
beach is just 3 miles long, but has gained a favorable reputation among
international surfers. Many surfers use Eden, with is prime location in
the heart of Manzanillo Bay, as home base for surfing at Troncones
Point and to explore the waves at La Saladita, the Ranch, Boca
Lagunillas and Playa Larga. There are waves all along the coast
throughout the year for every level of surfer.
Troncones Point: This is a left-point break off a rocky stretch of beach. Chat to the locals to find out where the rocks are. Boots can be a good idea here.
La Boca: This is a river mouth with some great lefts and rights during the peak season from November to March. La Boca is most easily accessible by foot; cars are not permitted on local beaches, which are sea turtle breeding grounds. To get there on foot, follow the sandy beach about a half-mile past the Majahua Palms Resort.
La Saladita: This spot is located off a point, with incredible, never-ending lefts; appropriately, it's locally known as "The Wave Machine." It's a long paddle, but a long ride, and everybody gets a wave. It's an easy 30-minute drive north through the village of Los Llanos.
The Ranch: This area has solid, fast lefts and rights off a point. It's accessible by car and takes just over an hour.

Love the place. Been down twice on a yoga retreat. Love the quiet and beauty. Loved the food. Loved the little shop. The only thing that might be improved are the beds; they were rock hard when I last went there. I brought a foam pad, which saved me. Advice: If you like softer beds, check with reservations to see if they have updated any of the mattresses - or if you should bring a foam pad. All -in-all don't let this stop you this is a fabulous place to reboot yourself.

I don't know if I've ever received service like Jim, Eva and staff provided us at Eden. A smart, friendly, engaged adult seemed to always be available to answer a question, problem solve a travel related logistic, provide useful information or, in our experience, extend a kindness. Their ability to listen and to communicate clearly and easily was just incredibly refreshing.

Stayed at Eden for a week with my lady and it was the perfect spot. Wonderful vibe, accommodations, food, people, and only a hop and a skip from some quality surf. I'm so grateful to have found this gem and would definitely return in an instant. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

We love Troncones and the surfing at surrounding beaches. Hotel Eden is amazing! The charm, the food , the staff, the attention to detail and design is so charming. We had a blast at Salsa Night and loved shopping at the little store curated by Eva the owner. We can't wait to go back!
