Hotel Cultured offers straight forward, no nonsense accommodation in Japan's skiing village of Hakuba. They also have larger, apartment style rooms that are great for small groups. For your money, you get a central location, with great access to public transport bound for the ski slopes. It’s not ski in, ski out, but don’t let that bother you too much. They still have ski storage facilities, plus on site ski hire. They also throw in wifi, table tennis and free parking. Another little treat is the hot spring, which is located on the roof. Perhaps not the best set up during bad weather, but on clear nights it’s a notch above the steamy cupboards passing as onsen at some other hotels.
