Bali In Need! Can you Help?
With no tourists arriving into Bali, nearly all hotels, resorts and retail venues have been forced to close their doors leaving millions of people without any work or income.
As tough as things are for many in the world at the moment, never have we as Australians been so lucky in my opinion.
Yeah we have our challenges, but they pale in comparison to so many in other countries, especially Indonesia and Bali in particular. With no Social security system in place, they don’t have massive government support like Jobkeeper and JobSeeker payments here in Australia.
Bali has a population of 4 million people and 80% rely on tourism to make a living. Since COVID-19 has swept across the world, travel and tourism has ceased to exist. Now with no tourists arriving into Bali nearly all hotels, resorts and retail venues have been forced to close their doors leaving millions of people without any work or income.
With government across the world imposing international travel bans, it could be many, many months before tourism can start again in Bali. The people need our help! So if you love Bali and it people like we do. If you have enjoyed the amazing hospitality always shown when holidaying on this magic Island paradise – then please show your appreciation spare a few dollars to feed a family!
There are some great organizations out there doing good things, so please support if you can. $20 can feed a family for 2 weeks to put it in perspective.
Perfect Wave and S-Resorts Bali are part of the Bukit Peninsula community, so we have started our own food drive for the Bukit Community through A Perfect Foundation. As S-Resorts Bali is located on the Bukit, we are committed to feeding as many families as possible. We are buying food supplies and creating family packs consisting of rice, noodles, cooking oil, sugar & eggs. The resort staff contribute by delivering the food family packs, enabling every dollar donated to be spent on food supplies. With more donations we hope to soon offer a delivery service to nearby villages and cook fresh meals from the resort kitchen. Please donate today.
Big problems require collaborative approaches and although there are already some great people offering amazing services, we want to do our part as well.
