The Pacific comes alive for the next 5-6 months – Photo by Sa’Moana Resort

Summertime, and the living is easy!

Australia has just experienced the hottest September on record, October has been incredibly warm too. It sure feels like summer has come early. The vibe is chilled and optimistic, we have a new PM and it all kinda makes sense. No one is complaining…

There’s plenty to look forward too – perhaps a Rugby World Cup Final, and definitely plenty of long, lazy, sunny days ahead. Hey, but critically, El Niño summers have a reputation for being short on swell.

I have a solution: Escape your local break.

Our closest northern neighbours often score increased swell activity in El Nino years. Who is up for an adventure?

The Pacific comes alive with north swells for the next 5 or 6 months. You can score quality waves just a few hours north in PNG, Samoa, the Solomons, the Carolines, Hawaii, Fiji, Taiwan and beyond.
