The 2015 Mentawai surf season is just around the corner.

It seems like just yesterday that I returned from a trip to Aloita Surf Resort And Spa, but of course it was almost 6 months back now in September.

Keep an eye on our blogs in the coming weeks as I will post my account of the September 2014 I Surfed Indo With Occy Legends trip as soon as we confirm dates for Occ’s much anticipated 2015 return.

More to the point though, as the calendar ticked over into February I flashed on how quickly the Indo season has come around again.

Anyone who travelled to the archipelago during high season last year can vouch for what an outstanding year it was for swell.

A lot of operators and experienced Mentawai travellers often head up as early as February and March as they are aware pre season often delivers plenty of fun – sized 3-5ft days with light winds and minimal crowds.
