All baggage is X-rayed. The Maldives is a strict Muslim country and drinking is only allowed in resorts or on boats, and that is the only place you can buy alcohol.

The currency of the Maldives is the Rufiyaa. However, for visitors, USD is the currency of choice. You will need some cash with you. Local ATMs only provide local currency, so are not useful for you to withdraw money. Everywhere in the Maldives you can pay with USD, so bring some with you. Once you are in the country, you will not be able to exchange foreign currency for USD.

Travel Insurance – Travel Insurance  is compulsory for all Music in Paradise Maldives events and proof of your policy must be given before your departure. Please ask your consultant for a quote.

Passports & Visas – It is your responsibility to ensure that you have valid passports, visas and re-entry permits which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility. All travelers must have a valid passport for international travel and the Maldives requires at least 6 months validity from the date of entry. If you need information regarding visa and other travel document requirements for your trip please let us know.
