Somebody once told me you don’t score that many barrels in the Maldives.  Well so far on my trip there have been quite a few tubes, which kind of busts that myth.

There are definitely barrels around if you want to hunt them down and may I suggest Coke’s is a good place to start your search.  The break at Cokes is named after the old Coca-Cola factory that used to be situated on the atoll.  The reef at Cokes juts out a little more to the east than all the other reefs in the North Male atoll chain, so it acts as a bit of a swell magnet.

We have been scoring fun waves on our sprout daily Maldives trip, so much so that we will be back for two trips in 2016.

If you need any further convincing regarding how hollow the Maldives can get, watch the above clip of Cokes from 2 weeks back.
