The Maldives surf season kicked off earlier this month. March and April are traditionally renowned for uncrowded glassy sessions in the Southern Atolls.

Cobia surf boat Maldives

The Perfect Wave Director Jamie Gray said, “The first swell hit right on time on day 2 of the first charter (March 3) and 2 Perfect Wave boats had the whole Gaarfu Dhaarl region to themselves. The Hamathi was sitting at “Beacons” with  pumping 4 – 5 ft waves and The Cobia guests enjoyed glassy 3-4ft “Love Charms” to themselves.”

In other great news – The Perfect Wave  are very happy to announce a luxury option for 2014, with the Carpe Diem doing the month of April in Gaarfu Dhaarl. We only have 2 trips left for this area, so check out the boat and get your crew together now.

The first group of our clients had just returned from their trip on board Cobia, and the boat with the famous surf guide Martey have cerainly delivered. Mark e-mailed us about the trip: Hi Rhonda. We are back and happy campers.  Here is the wrap up… Transport connections were perfect…well done, Location was spectacular, Surf was brilliant, Surf guide (Martey) was top notch and good company, Food was superb –  Asoka gave us great local and Asian cuisine, Boat was a bit basic.  Rooms quite cramped compared to our last experience on Addiction. The roof deck was a winner though as were the ensuites, crew were a little inexperienced but got better and more enthusiastic over the trip. Mohammed was a standout. Generally had surf to ourselves except the other Perfect Wave boat seemed to follow us around a bit.  Got a bit crowded towards end of trip as 3 other boats came down. All up, our best surf trip experience so far.
