The view from a Kandooma beach villa.

Having spent a week at the lovely Kandooma Resort with my 6 year old, we finally spotted Nemo so all is well…phew!!

The waves have been small but perfectly glassy and fun to surf. The weather this week is changeable and difficult to predict but the squalls pass over quickly and what is predictable, is that there will always be sunshine after the brief rain-showers.

Jack has absolutely LOVED the kid’s club and has spent most of his time playing, drawing and painting there on the super Mario game and in the waterpark.  I’ve had plenty of time to relax, read and surf. The island is very safe so he’s had the freedom to walk around and do what he wants, which is a pleasure for both of us.

Solo surfer parents, don’t be put off coming to Kandooma thinking it’s just for honeymooners and couples –  it’s the perfect spot for you and your little ones and you won’t feel out of place at all without a partner. We’re now on our way down south to stay at the lovely Ayada Resort… so more news coming up soon

We highly recommend you book your 2016 trips early as July next year is already almost fully booked.
