After a relatively slow start to the season, the 2nd half of April opened up some swell and produced some magical waves within the South Male Atoll.

Kandooma Resort now offers 2 dhonis operating 4 trips daily at flexible times to maximise your chance of scoring the best waves the area has to offer.

Fun, playful waves have been had by surfers on trips both south and north of Kandooma Resort, as well as the old faithful Kandooma Right accessible to surfers who wish to stay put on the resort and surf perfection right on their doorstep.

An exceptional Easter period offered guests head and a half to double overhead waves with Foxys, Riptides and Tucky Joes being the spots of choice.

Jay from Noosa, who travelled with a 9ft log and a retro single fin, revelled in the size that riptides offered whilst Ryan from Newcastle was the standout at Foxys, scoring beautiful tubes in a session all by himself.

Jan, on his 2nd trip back to Kandooma in 2 years, brought his SUP and along with Glen on his longboard ripped small but perfect waves at Quarters.

I can’t tell you how much of an absolute pleasure it is to be back in this part of the world – I even managed to sneak a set at riptides for myself!! So if you’re headed to Kandooma this year, then I really look forward to seeing you for some sun and surf real soon!!
