Telo Island Lodge Surf Report

“Suddenly Sun” by Telo Island Lodge

We’ve said it before, but things change quickly in the tropics. The last few mornings have kicked off grey and rainy, but you’ll put your head down for breakfast, look up again after demolishing your bacon and eggs and it’s sunny and offshore. Weird. But we’ll take it.
Max’s Left has been the pick for the morning sessions lately, followed by afternoon action in the bowly rights of Schoolyards. No shortage of swell: Schoolyards was, in fact, close to maxing out with a few big barrels on offer out there.

Today we mixed it up: pre-brekky sesh at Max’s Left followed by a mid-morning, super-fun head-high surf at Le Ba. The afternoon surf was held out the front of the lodge, in clean, overhead Max’s Right. Those who were surfed out from the morning’s sessions had a beer and watched on. There may have been some gentle commentary.
All up, another damn fine three-surf day here in heaven.

The swell’s supposed to drop a little but the winds are going to stay sweet, so more epic days ahead!
