How was the start of Panaitan Island surf season?

Just Dreaming surf charter is the lone boat in this West Java island, famous for its uncrowded, perfect, barreling waves. Their surf guide John Olsen is a good surfer and a surf photographer. To start the season, he sent us a surf report and some photos to froth on. They really scored in April, and we look forward to sending more stoked surfers to Panaitan this year.

How has Panaitan Island surf been so far this year?

Ahhhhhh, how I have missed the island.. we surfed Illusions for 3 days without a drop of water out of place. Uncrowded, light winds, barrels and Bintangs.

Indies, Rangers Right and The Peak were pumping and everyone got the waves they come for. Once again I was hearing “best trip ever” and  “best session ever” calls being dropped confirming on another successful Just Dreaming adventure. We also cleaned up in the ikan department with a few of the boys spearing some nice parrot fish, cod and coral trout.
