Hawaii surf report, photos and clip by Andy Potts C/O The Perfect Wave.

When it is uncrowded  the average surfer brims with a little more confidence when the Hawaii North Shore turns on. Why? Well it makes wave selection that little bit more easier…plus no one will be watching when you take the beating of your life on the shallow volcanic reef right.

For some, just one big pounding is enough to call it a day and start thinking of any justifiable excuse to not have to go back out, while others thrive on the idea of pushing their limits or seeing how close they can get to death or the next world that Huey has to offer.  Either way, It has been way to long between Pipeline wipeout sections so enjoy.
