Summertime, and the living is easy!
Australia has just experienced the hottest September on record, October has been incredibly warm too. It sure feels like summer has come early. The vibe is chilled and optimistic, we have a new PM and it all kinda makes sense. No one is complaining…
There’s plenty to look forward too – perhaps a Rugby World Cup Final, and definitely plenty of long, lazy, sunny days ahead. Hey, but critically, El Niño summers have a reputation for being short on swell.
I have a solution: Escape your local break.
Our closest northern neighbours often score increased swell activity in El Nino years. Who is up for an adventure?
The Pacific comes alive with north swells for the next 5 or 6 months. You can score quality waves just a few hours north in PNG, Samoa, the Solomons, the Carolines, Hawaii, Fiji, Taiwan and beyond.
If you book a Samoa Surf trip at Sa’Moana Resort by November 15th, you’ll go into the draw to win it for free (value up to $1,600pp).
Don’t forget you are invited to join us at The Perfect Wave HQ, this Thursday October 22 for our PNG Night. If you turn up, your odds of winning a free night or two’s accommodation or an exclusive discount travel voucher from The Perfect Wave are extremely high. All sales and management staff will be in attendance, and Mark Riley from Riley Classic Balsawood Surfboards is going to display a short board and a long board and give a short speech about his eco-friendly Balsa boards. (All materials come from PNG). Drinks and food provided by TPW from 6pm.
