The Perfect Wave’s key property on the Bukit Peninsula in Bali, S Resorts Hidden Valley is rapidly gaining a reputation as the place to be.
In just over three weeks time S Resorts Hidden Valley is hosting “Surf Music In Paradise” featuring legendary Australian musicians Tex Perkins and Phil Jamieson.
Last month, S Resorts Hidden Valley was once again super proud to be a co-sponsor of the 2016 Rip Curl Padang Padang Cup.
S Resorts Hidden Valley hosted a bunch of surfers including legends like Dave Wassel and CJ Hobgood amongst others.
Last year Bruce, Tom Curren, Wardo, Rizal etc were among our guests.
This year’s RipCurl Cup was again held in perfect 6ft Padang Padang pipes.
Mega Semadhi was the lone local Indonesian surfer to reach the Final, and rather fittingly it was Mega who claimed his 2nd victory.
For me his epic quote, “From my point of view, there is no local.” summed up the vibe of the event. Mega said after his win: “We are all locals of this universe and today we are all locals at Padang Padang.”
In the end, Mega was hoisted to victory in front of a cheering crowd, followed by Hobgood in second place, Ho in third and Marzo in fourth.
Bruce Irons’ perfect 10 in his round 2 heat was one of the event highlights for sure, but Mega, CJ and Mason also scored some epic drainers throughout.
