Nam Baldwin and the The Perfect Travel Global team at S Resorts Hidden Valley – Bali

The Perfect Travel Group was founded nearly 10 years ago on 12 January 2006, by three old backpacker mates that wanted nothing more than an amazing lifestyle of snowboarding, skiing and surf travel around the world. It didn’t take long until they realised the business was going to be more than just a lifestyle.

The Perfect Travel Group and The Perfect Wave started in my basement on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, and has rapidly grown to be the biggest global surf travel business in less than 10 years. These days, our main HQ is a new two-storey building in Brookvale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches where you can sit down with any one of our twelve extremely qualified surf experience specialists and plan the surf trip of a lifetime. We also have sales offices in Cronulla, NZ, UK and France to ensure we continue to give more people access, knowledge and the opportunity to book their dream trip.

Due to increasing demand from our clients, we have also expanded TPW’s company operations in the Maldives and Indonesia with our own surf charters, surf camps and resort surf programs.

We have developed new niche brands with The Perfect Snow, S Resorts hotel management and my favourite, our own charity fundraising arm to give back to the communities we visit, called A Perfect Foundation.

Surf travel all began at Uluwatu in the mid 70’s, on the back of the release of Alby Falzon’s timeless classic “The Morning Of The Earth.” I find it very fitting that I am writing to you from the Bukit in Bali, just a few minutes from the birthplace of international surf travel. The fact that this is where it all started was at the forefront of my mind when I scheduled our first global conference at our latest resort, S Resorts Hidden Valley, near Uluwatu, Bali.

It has been a pleasure having Nam Baldwin, a peak performance coach and Mick Fanning’s and Steph Gilmore’s personal trainer here with us, training the team to improve their performance to ensure we give the best to you our customers.

To say that I am excited and proud to have nearly 50 staff here at our first global conference is an understatement. To bring together the many parts and people that now make up this company after 10 years is truly exciting for myself, Rhonda and Barry Teeling. And to do so in our first S Resort at Hidden Valley, Bali, and showcase the next level for The Perfect Travel Group is just awesome.

To celebrate our upcoming 10th Birthday, I wanted to give you, our customers, a gift to say thank you as you are the ones that have made us what we are today:

Our official birthday is January 12, which is 4 months away. So if you make a new booking for a snow or a surf holiday worth minimum $2,000 including airfares between September 21, 2016 and January 12, 2017, we are going to take $100 OFF per booking.

TPW services thousands of stoked surf and snow clients annually, and receive dozens of positive feedback emails from clients weekly.

99.9% are generally stoked on our service whether it be our office based consultants, staff or surf guides on the ground.
