Specially designed for navigating shallow reef passes and with the experienced Captain Hussain at the helm, the boat is well-respected within the Maldivian charter fleet for getting guests into the best waves around with the least amount of other surfers, keeping paddle-outs short and sweet by cruising as close as possible to the line-up.
Leila was impressed by the whole experience:
“I think travelling from wave to wave was really cool. Cokes was the best wave we surfed. There were so many options we were in Heaven. Also, the way the crew works together on the boat was amazing. They are absolute team players.”
The Surf Sojourn is equally well known for its amazing sashimi appetizers and fresh fish dinners prepared by Chathra, the very talented Sri Lankan chef. Leila confirms, “The food was absolutely amazing!”
The photos and video speak for themselves, but Maud’s post-trip thank you note sums up the general vibe of the trip, perfectly:
I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for this amazing trip with The Perfect Wave. Thank you so much for this opportunity and helping us organize everything.
The week on the Surf Sojourn in the Maldives was incredible. The crew, location, food on board and vibes were awesome. We were just a little unlucky with the forecast and weather, but I’m going to remember this trip and my birthday on board forever!!!
It was PERFECT!!!
Hope you enjoy the images and that you were happy with our Instagram posts and stories. Looking forward to working with you again.
The ladies kept their fans and families up-to-date on the daily happenings at sea via Instagram (check out their posts here), including one very special session with a giant rainbow overhead that added even more colour to the crystal clear, azure blue water, bright green palm fronds and white sand beaches for which the archipelago is so famous. Their enthusiasm and smiling faces were all the proof you need, that in spite of a few rain showers and a less-than-spectacular swell forecast, there’s no better place to be than on a boat trip in the Maldives!
