The Anne Judith was launched in 1944. She was a minesweeper in World War two after which she was a surf charter vessel in Indonesia for twenty years. Currently, she is an owner’s boat, which offers 120 days charter a year, mainly focusing on the Mentawais but also Telos, Banyaks and Nias/Hinako trips are possible. The new owners have refitted her for remote discovery and increased autonomy while downscaling the guests to 6-8 guests, making it a great choice for small groups.

The Crew consists of five members and together they covered thousands of miles. The Crew is managed from Bali where the land manager oversees all the logistical requirements. The Anne Judith has three bedrooms onboard (2 double and a quad bunk cabin), a dining room that seats 8 guests, TV/DVD and an outside chillout area. Despite the schedule listed, the Anne Judith is one of the very few boats that offers flexible trip dates and length, just let us know. The Anne Judith is equipped with snorkeling and fishing equipment and combined with the crew’s experience you are in for an unforgettable trip.

What I really like is the cosy nature of time spent on the Anne Judith. It’s affordable for a group of friends, and who wants that insta-crowd in the water when you only have one trip a year with your mates? It was a great trip just amongst friends. One to remember for a long time.

Sumba was fantastic in March on the Anne Judith. Empty waves, pristine offshore islands, superb fishing and the most amazing crew I’ve ever met on a surf boat. Thank you, Captain Abdul, and the rest of the guys. Will be back for sure!

The boat’s awesome. It has history, heritage, and it is comfortable in just the right way. The food is great – kills it in the kitchen. But most importantly, these guys are obsessed with the only surfing empty spots, and they’ll do whatever it takes to get you there. A perfect trip.”
