The Hakuba Mountain Lodge is a meticulously designed chalet that provides elegant accommodation for guests looking to holiday in Goryu. Designed by Singaporean Interior Designer, Nikki Hunt, guests can be assured of a combination of interior designs to ooze grace, stylish architectural design and extensive space.  The chalet is situated just 400 metres from the ski lifts providing guests with easy access to Goryu’s world famous ski fields.

In designing the Hakuba Mountain Lodge, nothing was left to chance. The owners ensured that the design provided ultimate comfort for all of its guests with its own home theatre and five star luxury traditional Japanese bathrooms. With 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms there is sufficient space for families and small groups looking to explore the Goryu ski fields. An additional benefit for guests is that the chalet also provides guests with their very own 8 seater four wheel drive vehicle for use during their stay.

The Hakuba Mountain Lodge is located in the Nagano Prefecture in the heart of the Japanese Alps. The location provides guests with close access to over 200 ski runs, 139 snow lifts making this ideal accommodation for guests with a love of skiing. The local ski fields were home to ski events during the 1998 Winter Olympics and has been named in the top 5 international ski locations. The facilities that were installed for the Winter Olympics ensure that guests have access to world class ski facilities including down hill skiing tracks and for the more proficient skiers, ski jumping facilities.

Hakuba Valley also offers a wide range of attractions off the slopes including guided snowshoe tours, tobogganing and snowmobiling. Guests are also urged to take a tour of the official Winter Olympics resort during their stay. The Hakuba Valley provides guests with a wide range of entertainment options after they have had a big day on the slopes. The local village has a wide range of bars and nightclubs for skiers to sit back and relax after a hard day on the slopes.

For guests looking for total relaxation there are many Onsens to sit back and relax in. People throughout Japan consider these natural hot baths to have natural healing abilities due to their high mineral content.

While the Hakuba Mountain Lodge provides guests with their very own cooking facilities, the local village also provides guests with a wide range of restaurants offering traditional Japanese and western cuisine. Whether guests are looking to enjoy French, Japanese, Mexican or Thai there are restaurants to cater to everyone’s needs.


Nothing has been left out of the design and furnishing of the Hakuba Mountain Lodge. This chalet provides guests with 5 bedrooms with 3 rooms having a king sized bed, 1 room having a queen size bed and the other bedrooms having a single bed and bunk bed respectively. With 6 bathrooms also situated throughout the chalet guests can be assured that a bathroom will always be close by.

The chalet contains a gourmet kitchen for guests to cook their own meals and host dinner parties in the grand dining room which exudes opulence. With its very own movie theater room and plasma televisions in every bedroom guests can sit down and relax after a day on the slopes. 

The chalet also contains its own laundry with a washing machine and dryer and a Japanese bathhouse for guests to totally unwind.


While most guests use the gourmet kitchen to cook their own meals there is a wide array of restaurants and fast food outlets within walking distance. With traditional Japanese and western cuisines on offer, guests can be assured of a total culinary sensation.

Skiers from around the world have been experiencing the skiing conditions of the Hakuba Valley for over 70 years. The Hakuba Valley has earned a reputation as a world class skiing environment with over 200 skiing trails and the longest vertical skiing areas that Japan has to offer. The Hakuba Valley is also known for its exceptional powder allowing skiers of all competency levels a unique skiing opportunity.

Japanese Cultural Experiences

The Hakuba Valley is known as one of the most traditional areas of Japan. When guests are looking for a break from the slopes they are able engage in traditional Japanese activities and be taught the arts of Origami folding and Soba noodle making. For those looking for a total Japanese immersion many Japanese tea rooms in the area allow visitors the opportunity to take part in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony dressed in their very own Kimono’s.

Japanese Baths

For guests looking for total relaxation there is the opportunity to take part in the traditional Japanese art of bathing in local hot springs. It is considered that the rich mineral content of the hot springs offers healing properties that are guaranteed to ease sore muscles after a hard days skiing. These hot springs provide guests an exceptional experience of bathing in the open air surrounded by white snow.

Japanese Izakaya

The Hakuba Valley is renowned for its Izakaya, which are essentially Japanese pubs. The Izakaya that are found in the Hakuba Valley allow guests to enjoy a refreshing drink of Sake while experiencing local cuisine in a relaxed and casual environment.
