Surf & Other Activities

Hakuba's biggest draw card for visitors is its prime skiing. We're talking about a fantastic array of slopes, long seasons and brilliant powder. There are three large ski areas all within easy access of De L’Aile, along with numerous others further afield.

In summer, those slopes give way to some pretty good hiking trails. This is one of the best parts of Japan to get outdoors, and do some solid hiking. The area is also known for its wonderful natural hot springs. All up, there's plenty to keep visitors occupied both during ski season and other times of year.
