Surfing Highlights
Laamu Atoll
To the south-east of COMO Maalifushi lies the atoll of Laamu. It loves a south east swell which can light up the surf breaks of Isdoo Corner, Machines or Coffins, Refugees Right and Left, House, Jetty C, Ying Yangs and Petrols. Accessible via luxury speedboat from COMO Maalifushi it’s a very rock-n-roll way to explore the Maldives’ Outer Atolls.
Thaa Atoll
A wave-rich atoll which requires a high speed luxury speedboat to explore in comfort. From COMO Maalifushi there are over ten waves to choose from within Thaa itself; all less than forty minutes from the jetty. Farms is a favourite, and three more high quality surf breaks lie just minutes from this wave. In different directions more surf adventures beckon to mix up your vacation.
Dhaalu Atoll
Kasabu is renowned as one of the Maldives’ longest waves. A long right-hander which runs down the channel before sweeping into the bay, this wave is the ultimate leg burner. Alternatively known as Sharks thanks to surfers’ regular encounters with friendly whale sharks. Lefts are on offer at Dhaalu too. Take your choice from the predominant waves of Kasabu, Vodi, Hocus Pocus and No Names.
