You'll find the Surf Lodge 6 kilometers south of Pichilemu town center, in the Punta de Lobos area. Most of the year, the town is small, quiet and friendly, 3 hours to the west of Santiago. In summer, "Pichi" hums with people from the city, with good parties and lots of movement. In winter it's just the opposite, with few people in the water and on the beach, but the waves as good as ever.
Most of the staff are the same as you, having found themselves here after searching for good waves or wind, which they've found in spades. They know the local conditions, as well as advice if you want to head further afield.
Surf & Other Activities
The closest break to the lodge is Punta de Lobos at about 1.5kms, and is one of the most famous and consistent waves in South America. As with most breaks in this area, the sand moves constantly so you'll almost never have two sessions the same. A rarity in surfing is that this break is surfable from 2 to 25 feet and bigger, but don't worry if you're not quite ready for the big stuff, most of the time it is a very friendly size and an enjoyable wave.
Heading into town there are two more breaks, Infiernillo and La Puntilla. They are both world class waves when the sand is good, and are only slightly less exposed to swell than Lobos. Infiernillo is for a more advanced level, and there you'll find less people in the water too. La Puntilla can be very good, and is also very long, so be prepared for leg breaking rides when it's on.
On offer at the Lodge they also have horse rides, trekking, bike rental, windsurf, kitesurf and SUP rental and classes, massage and surf trips to breaks out of town.
