Roots, clean, local dishes, the pirogue will drop you near the swell, Jesper the host is calm and welcoming, does not brag or oversell, obviously living in Ngor Island for the surf, which he does with style, and in the end his kindness attracts good surfing people whom you want to keep as friends from all around the world.

Stayed March 2015, travelled with friends.”

Imagine each morning waking up, eating some breakfast, surfing all day, napping in a hammock, and then eating a delicious dinner surrounded by likeminded friends from around the world. This is surf camp.

I loved staying on the island. I loved the other guests, I loved the accommodation - simple, but lovingly decorated in an aloof coolness. The dinners were excellent - and lovely to sit around and chat with guests from around the world.

I hadn't surfed before, and Mour, their in-house instructor, gave me daily lessons. Not only did I learn to surf, it lit in me a new passion - I've since surfed around the world whenever I can find a wave.

Jasper and his family are so gracious and welcoming.

Finally, to note, as a young American woman traveling in Senegal on my own, Surf Camp provided the best possible scenario to introduce me to Dakar. I felt safe, taken care of, and inspired to relax and feel totally at home.”
