Cokes Surf Camp is situated right on Cokes surf break in the North Male Atoll, one of the most consistent waves in the Maldives.
The Camp is owned by an Australian operator, Brian James, who has sixteen years experience running surf charters in the Maldives.
With an unsurpassed view of the surf at Cokes and Chickens, Cokes Surf Camp makes the most of its exceptional location. There are two large informal areas to relax in while looking out to the waves. The top floor has a common area and balcony and is equipped with home theatre system, library, and games for the tired surfer to enjoy. The ground floor and reception area offers a juice bar and cafe with more room to refine the art of chilling out before or after a hard session in the surf.
Cokes Surf Camp is a year-round destination From April to October it attracts experienced surfers looking for consistent waves at the swell-magnets of Cokes and Chickens breaks. During the summer months of November to March, the swells are smaller yet perfectly formed for beginners and improvers to develop their surfing with the experienced local surf guide team.

Cokes was so good Brain was the perfect hosts and his crew are the best if you want awesome waves and a total chill out vibe then this is the place
Yeah the trip was awesome! We even stayed one day longer.
Our planning considered diving and surfing, we started off with diving. Finally we couldn’t get enough of the diving we didn’t surf! But we definitely will be back some day to catch some waves!
Maybe next year with my girlfriend 🙂
Sarah Specker Saar (October 2017),
I had a fantastic time! Brilliant waves, very good food, great accommodation, super fun stuff, basically nothing but good about the place.
I'll go back for sure and would recommend it to anyone :).

Chris (June 2017),
Had a great time! Waves weren't great the first few days but got better after that and scored some really nice fun ones. Really enjoyed the crew there, especially Troy who made me feel more like a mate than a guest! Accomadation was really good too, and the food was amazing! I had a great time!! Will be back for sure!
Chris Mainsbridge(May 2017),
I wanted a holiday & thats what I got. If doing a camp & boat trip in Maldives would recommend 7 days at Cokes surf camp first then get of the island & onto a boat. Perfect.
Troy the manager of Cokes not only destroys waves but is so good in the kitchen guests from other camps & resorts on the island would come & eat there as the word soon spreads about how good the food is!
The camp also runs the only learn to surf school on the island; so whilst many guys would go surfing their partners would come into the camp & tee up a lesson from the mighty Joe who was perhaps the most patient but also excited surfer i have ever met. Win win for everyone. Also any issues in the lineup Joe would sort it out; nicely of course.
Then the boat; best Sri Lanka cook ever; many repeat customers I hear just because of the food! Been on a few boat trips & the crew & surf guide Natu would have to be the best yet. Surf ranged from challenging for an old timer to best fun EVER.
Even managed to read 4 books. Have to say Perfect Wave from Sylvia to Brian down where PERFECT.
Thanks Sylvia; all the best
Andrew Cahill (April 2017)
I had a great time there as did the kids. They really looked after us and all the staff were super helpful. We got head high waves most days and bigger on a couple.
Ben (March 2017)
Thanks for arranging the best 7 days surfing I’ve ever had – there were waves every day!
I surfed Cokes, Chickens, Honkies, Sultans and Jails – Jails was by far my favourite, 4ft peeling right – I had some of the longest rides I’ve ever had. My last day I spent the morning surfing jails with just 3 other guys
George (November 2016)
Wish to thank Brian And all of the boys T Cokes surf camp for once again looking after me this year at CokesSurf Camp Maldives . After doing a few trips here I thought nothing would surprise . How wrong I was the rooms have been updated beds upgraded free wi- fi. The food as usual in large quantities has also been improved ! Steak which I don't eat but the other guests enjoyed fresh fish great salads pasta rice curries fresh fruit and as a treat ice cream every night ! Nothing was a hassle for the staff ! A lot of guests from other accomodation came and ate there as the food is the best on the island ! Eat sleep surf nothing better except for international cricket late arvos and table tennis tournaments Movie nights if you could stay awake Best view best staff great. Value for money can't wait to next year !
Ian (October 2016)
Three trips to the Maldives to surf organised by Perfect Wave and all were hassle free and enjoyable. The boat and Cokes Camp are both great places with welcoming people.
Pre trip Perfect wave staff Sara and Peter were very helpful and happy to answer any questions, always a quick response to queries and nothing was a hassle. Thanks Perfect Wave...will there be a forth trip? Who knows.
Dee (September 2016)
I've experienced 2 holidays now with the Perfect Wave people 1 to Lombok and Bali and 1 to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Every aspect of the holidays ran like clockwork, all the venues (Heaven on the Planet, Impossibles, Mambo's and Cokes) were unbelievably supportive and experienced in providing me with any need wanted. Most importantly the waves were always going off. I would really like to thank Sylvia and the crew for all there super professional and experienced guidance for the Perfect holidays. Now were to next ummm!
Tomas (September 2016)
In terms of vibe was the best surfcamp I have stayed, and I have been in a few. Food is delicious. Troy is the best surfcamp host I have met. Always worried about the customers, always in a good mood and always the first to go in the water pushing everyone else's limits. Really good experience was worth the traveling for these 4 days. Will be back!
Waves were pumping by the way. I will send you some shots from my computer.
Masaomi (August 2016)
At Cokes surf camp also we could be happy to be there because the manger Troy was so kind and cooking well.
Also his surfing was crazy(very well).
He always took care of us and asked whether we had some problem or not.
When we got the ferry to Male,he saw us off at ferry port and gave local currency to get tickets easily.
Other guests were also good guys and kind to us.They tried to understand my poor english somehow.I was so glad.
We could have an amazing time above and beyond my expectation.
Alan (August 2016)
Just wanted to give you guys feedback on our trip to maldives, was an awesome trip, we found troy at cokes was an exceptional hoste, anything and everything we asked for was never a problem, troy was able to organise transfers to different brakes at a drop of a hat, his cooking was second to none, and kept us all energised and ready to surf, he greeted us every day with a smile and a happy attitude in my opinion troy is one of the better hoste's i have experienced on a surf trip, and i would recommend cokes surf camp to anyone.
Linda (July 2016)
We enjoyed Cokes for the relaxed lifestyle, great view of great waves (we did well!!). Brian and his staff and family were all great and very friendly. We really all felt like we were just staying at a mates holiday beach shack! We were also lucky to score the 4 rooms upstairs with Brian (no doubt thanks to you for that!!). We enjoyed being on the local island and just seeing the Island life and meeting the other surfers staying at the other guest houses. We found the non-alcoholic malt beers after day 2, so the boys still had a “happy hour”. Us girls got out on the boat one day to Jailbreak and had a swim and snorkel and got some photos of the boys.
Morgan (June 2016)
Over the years I've been lucky enough to have a ridiculous number of surf trip. Peter gave great advice and The Perfect Wave organised everything so well that everything just fell into place. All we had to worry about was waxing our boards and finding the best waves. The surf guides even made that easy. Cokes was fantastic value for money, the waves were magic and I'll be getting Peter to organise my next surf trip.
Peter (June 2016)
Cokes surf camp is the best ever. Although not much island if you want to surf, surf and then surf again then get to Cokes. Brian and Lozza are the best hosts. We had the most incredible waves I have ever surfed right out the front of the camp.
Can I go back in August?
Never going anywhere ever again unless it is there.
Juha (October 2015)
Second time in Maldives with Perfect Wave and there will be more to come for sure. A surf holiday just doesn't get any easier.
Antoni (August 2015)
Cokes surf camp was extremely user friendly and comfortable making the stay totally pleasurable and relaxing. The crew are happily accommodating and great to get along with.... no hesitations with any requests placed upon them. Been to a lot of places to diversify my surf travel experience and Cokes is the first destination I'd seriously consider going back to. Loved it!
Alessio (August 2015)
I just returned from the Maldives from Cokes surf camp. Staff perfect. Good waves and perfect conditions! see you next year!
Just dropping a line to let you know that Cokes was absolutely unreal! I had an amazing time there, the staff were excellent, the whole crew of people who stayed there were totally cool, even the playboy bunnies, as long as they didn't turn the music down again !!!
I surfed everyday from Jails thru to Chickens for hours and hours at a time, so much that my shoulders are still sore!
It's like staying at a backpackers in a way with so many people from all over the place, and people from other camps come to have dinner so you end up making friends with a whole lot of nationalities. They even bought out a cake for me and Bob who coincidentally had the same birthday last week, and sang happy birthday! Really special moments like that when you're away are really humbling and make's all the overtime and stress of city life worthwhile!
Also, the photo of Cokes from the tower that was on your Instagram, I took that and have a couple of other beauties and the full res if you would like them for any marketing or stuff.
Thanks so much again Marie for all the planning and booking , it all ran like a Swiss clock, I even got out of customs in like 5 mins! Schweeeet!!!
Justine (June 2015)
Our time at Cokes Surf Camp was short but so sweet! Cokes and Chickens are truly world class breaks and the atmosphere surrounding the island is so tranquil and beautiful.
Highly recommend this destination for a healthy surf holiday.
Carlos (June 2015)
Hi Sylv, We have such a good time! We scored some nice waves and enjoyed every minute in paradise.
Brian is a legend and his team is awesome. The camp is clean, comfortable and the whole setup is all about surfing.
My brother also had a ball , it was his third time in Maldives, first time in land and he liked a lot. Perfect Waves has a great team over there, please put a good word for all those guys, including the local boys! Tomorrow I will send you some photos. How many photos do you reckon? Least but not last, thank you very much for all your work!
