The Hirafutei backs on to the Ace Family run, and it is quite simple to ski down from the back of the hotel to the chairlift, with a rear walkway from the ski room and dining area taking you directly to the slopes. Hotel facilities include public onsen, cafe/lounge, souvenir store, ski lockers, karaoke rooms, games corner and restaurant.
Most of the 62 rooms in the Hirafutei are Japanese style, meaning thin futon mattresses on the floor. However, it is possible to book western style rooms depending on availability. The rooms are modest in size and several types of the room are available with private balcony onsen. The single room for one person traveler, twin room or semi-double room for a couple, and suite room for a family. Some of these rooms have excellent views of the ski run and the surrounding mountains.
