Kogen Hotel Taizan has a great location in the center of Akakura, Japan. The hotel is in close proximity to ski slopes, along with restaurants and bars, making it a great choice for anyone hoping to cram in a lot of skiing during their visit to Akakura. If you’re not quite a ski expert, don’t worry. The nearby Myoko Snow Sports center offers lessons, and within no time you’ll be hitting the snow. Taizan also offers some great little perks to get you on the snow as quickly as possible. Kogen Hotel Taizan is a very traditional Japanese style ryokan located conveniently within 5 minute walk to Akakura Kanko Resort or Akakura Onsen Ski Resort. These are two of the most popular ski areas in the Akakura region. This area is one of Japan's most sought after winter sports destinations, with slopes suitable for all skill levels and ages.

The hotel is also close to Myoko Snow Sports, which offers ski and snow board lessons. It is very convenient if you need a bit of a catch up before hitting the slopes.

Of course, Taizan is more than the sum of its location. The hotel is rated 3 stars and is pretty good quality, affordable accommodation in the perfect area for immersing yourself in the culture of Akakura village.
