Other activities include SUP. You can learn to stand up paddle as well as rent a SUP for the afternoon.
Ask your surf travel specialist for details about boat trips to fish or to simply cruise around and check out the surrounding area (minimum 4 people - costs around €20 an hour)
There are some beautiful walks with some amazing views. Mundaka is a magical place steeped in deep culture and history. The locals are cool so learn a few words of basque and they will appreciate it. Have a beer and a tortilla in one of the local bars and watch the world go by.
The river mouth wave here is world-class. Only advanced surfers should paddle out -it's a fantastic wave, don't drop in on the locals! The river mouth means colder water and deep hold-downs if you get caught on the inside....but when you get one, it's fast and definitely makes the visit worth while!
Beginner surfers will be taken out on a sand-bottom break to learn to stand up and ride the waves.
