The bottom of the African continent boasts beautiful beaches and consistent waves stretching along its remarkable 3000 kilometres of coastline.. J-Bay, located about midway along that stretch, is the best wave and the most bucket list, but world class setups exist in the warm waters north and south of Durban and in the frigid reefs around Cape Town. Add the wildlife parks, the friendly locals, the cheap and great food and South Africa ticks every box for every type of surfer and traveller.
