A max swell of 19 second, 9 foot, SSW, just ripped through the Banyaks.
The largest swell in a decade just swept through the Indonesian archipelago and the Banyaks received it’s fair share. Our friends on The Dream measured a max swell of 19 second, 9 foot, SSW, rip through the Banyaks.
Olivier shared his experience with us:
“On Day 1, three breaks were on fire! 3 to 6 foot super clean. The next four days were the same, allowing our guests a perfect warm up for what was about to come. Coastalwatch and Swellnet both forecast the largest swell in a decade, and it arrived day 6! It got a bit out of control, so we were surfing Mini’s (inside Treasures) at a decent 5 foot with peeling barrels. Day 8 the swell cleaned up and we had a few days of beautiful sessions in and around Treasures. The beauty of the Banyaks was that we never had more than 10 guys in the water.”\
