Hi! My name is Kali Gray and I am the luckiest girl I know. The Maldives has been a part of my life since I was 2 years old, when I took my first trip there. I recently went on my 5th Maldives family holiday…

On the trip there we first stayed at the Grand Mecure Roxy Hotel for a night in Singapore. My mum Marie Gray found out about the Night Safari and she thought it would be a lot of fun since everyone in our family likes animals. That night we saw so many animals such as Elephants, Hyenas, Lions, Tigers, many different kinds of Deer, Bears, Leopards, Bats, Rhinos, Alligators and much more. But the amazing part of it was that we got to see them really close up. Like with the Hyenas I was about 4 meters away from them. It was the coolest and scariest thing EVER!

The next morning we got on the 4 hour flight to Male airport. The first place we went to was The Perfect Wave Surf Camp at Thulusdhoo. My dad Jamie Gray caught so many waves and he was stoked! My favourite part about that part of the trip was that we found a stray kitten and it was so cute. Now it is the new Cokes Surf Camp Kitten!

The 2nd place we stayed was Kandooma Resort. We stayed there for 10 days. But the reason we were there was for Pete Murray Surf Music In Paradise. Pete did 3 concerts and they were pretty cool! While I was at Kandooma I made a really good friend that I will never forget and her name is Anne Dos Santos. Anne is a really nice girl and an awesome surfer.

After Kandooma we caught a plane to the Kadhdhoo Airport and from there caught a boat to Six Senses. Six Senses is the most amazing place I’ve ever been to, we had a GEM (Guest Experience Maker) and his name is Mohumod. He was so nice and generous. My sister Jaida Gray and I went to kids club all the time and we met a local lady whose name is Cori and she is amazing, funny and pretty. There is also an ice-cream bar and candy bar where you get everything for FREE!

There are overwater villas with glass baths, open, privet showers and the most comfortable beds EVER! I love it there. At the end of our trip, Cori from the Kids Club gave us a little toy turtle – it was so cute.

On our speedboat to the airport I sat there wondering what an amazing life I have, what an amazing trip I’ve had and what an amazing family I have!
