Bali East Coast 11.7.16 003 - Copy
Back in the day, surfing in Bali was pretty much all about the Bukit.

These days both coasts are tempting pending wind and swell variables of course. Oh yes and there is also the traffic to ponder.

Dry season is generally still all about the Bukit, however this season has been slightly whack. There’s been quite a bit of un-seasonal rain and definitely quite a bit of wind variability. There has been no lack of swell though, that’s for sure.

Early mornings are always best on the East Coast.  I won’t say too much more. Whilst there’s very few secret lefts on the magic isle, you can still score some magic moments minus the crowds if you know where to pounce or outsmart the hungry hordes.

I stayed at S Resorts Hidden Valley on the Bukit, but with the aid of reliable early morning transport I found it the ideal location to be at one of the East Coast spots withing 30 or 40 mins at dawn and then back on the Bukit for the arvo sesh when the trades kick in like clockwork.

Have you seen the latest forecast?

You can pop over to S Resorts Hidden Valley anytime and access all coasts well away from the Kuta/Legian/Seminyak traffic.
