Miramar Surf Camp – Your Perfect Nicaragua Surf Holiday

Between March and October, experienced surfers can shred perfect barrels from peaking swells.

There is also a gentle wave right on the doorstep suitable for the beginners.

All year round, the waves range anywhere from 3-8ft. However, during the surf season, off the point, which is directly in front of the camp, the sets will peak at 12ft. With the beach break there’s always plenty of waves for beginners. And with the warm water, there’s no need for a wetsuit.

If the more daring surfer wants bigger than 12ft peaks, there is Puerto Sandino, which is not even a 5 minute boat ride away. Here you’ll find 100m long, 15ft+ waves.

Miramar Surf Camp is made up of two large complexes, with 13 rooms in front of the Punta Miramar. There’s a large communal area with beautiful ocean views and perfect sunsets. You can relax in an open hammock area, which is located in a training area, perfect for meditating, and used for yoga, Jiu-Jitsu, as well as surf training.

There’s more than just surfing offered at Miramar Surf Camp. Individuals or groups are taken to various locations to experience activities like paddle boarding, motorbiking, kayaking, or to simply enjoy the secluded beaches. If you’d like to experience some history and culture, eat delicious food or visit the largest cathedral in Central America, tours to the city of Leon can also be organized.
