Kandooma September surf report

After a brief holiday in Thailand (even surf guides need a holiday), I was on a speedboat being greeted by a small but fun 2-3 ft swell.

How’s the Kandooma Resort surf been recently?

Shoulder season weather has seen almost every condition thrown at us except hail and snow. Pockets of cloud, the occasional rain squall and long bursts of sunshine have been the order of the week and guests have been gorging on the playful waves that have been offered in the South Male Atoll of the magnificent Maldives island chain.

Amongst the numerous waves in the area, the best scores have been at Riptides and old faithful, Kandooma Right. Guests have also enjoyed waves at Quarters, Foxy’s, Tucky Joe’s and the left off the Anantara Resort, Kate’s.

The forecast for the weekend looks great with offshore westerly winds and a 1-meter south easterly swell at a 10 second interval predicted to deliver pumping waves in the head high to head 1/2 high area+.
